Start-up cracks wheat genome – in months, not years

An Israeli biotech start-up, NRGene, has successfully mapped the genome for the wild Emmer wheat in three months. What other scientists couldn't go dor decades, NRGene has done so in a short amount of time. This has implications for agricultural communities across the world and California in particular as the drought continues.
