Resources for Silicon Valley Startups

Request for Proposal Database: As part our efforts to improve business relations between the West Coast of the United States and Israel, the Economic Mission in San Francisco provides an RFP Database. This database documents the Request for Proposal sites of states, municipalities, and other bodies on the West Coast. Through this database, Israeli companies can find relevant requests from cities, transportation authorities, ports, and states – and apply to fulfill those requests. The Economic Mission will update the database and continue to improve it regularly.

Incubator and Accelerator Programs in California

Matter: Our program kicks off with an intensive bootcamp focused on building scalable media ventures with a human-centered, prototype-driven design process. Throughout the program, share-outs, weekly speakers, and monthly design reviews build up to a demo day in SF and a media showcase in NYC.

Y Combinator: Twice a year we invest a small amount of money ($120k) in a large number of startups (most recently 107). The startups move to Silicon Valley for 3 months, during which we work intensively with them to get the company into the best possible shape and refine their pitch to investors. Each cycle culminates in Demo Day, when the startups present their companies to a carefully selected, invite-only audience.

Upwest Labs: We invest in companies that want to set up their business operations in the US and hit the ground running. We invest in early stage companies across multiple domains. To get a better sense of who we invest in, please see our portfolio.

Parisoma: PARISOMA is a coworking space that hosts 120+ entrepreneurs and freelancers. We support their growth through classes, events and partnerships. Founded and managed by the innovation agency FABERNOVEL, our vast community of alumni, mentors and partner organizations makes us the destination for the tech, design and entrepreneurship scene in the San Francisco Bay Area.

AngelPad: AngelPad is a seed-stage accelerator program based in NYC and San Francisco. In the past 5 years we have launched more than 115 companies in 9 cohorts. Every 6 months we select about 12 teams from a huge pool of applicants (usually around 2000) to work with us.

500 Startups: 500 Startups is a leading global venture capital seed fund and startup accelerator. We manage $200M in assets and invest in 1300+ technology start-ups.

Tandem: Tandem not only invests dollars, but also works closely with founding teams to help them discover market fit. We’ll help refine product strategy, drive user acquisition, optimize monetization and more.

Techstars: Together we help accelerate the pace of innovation by strengthening the path for entrepreneurs, providing support for entrepreneurial communities, and helping to grow the worldwide entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Founders Space: By working with investors and venture capitalists, Founders Space puts itself at the forefront of comprehensive small business incubation in the Bay Area by providing help for small businesses on all fronts instead of just specializing in one or the other. If you want the best help available to you in the Bay Area, Founders Space is the incubator for you, and positions are limited and in demand because of it! I’ve personally had the privilege of working with founders space and they have been awesome.

Plug And Play: Plug and Play is a global innovation platform. We connect startups to corporations, and invest in over 100 companies every year. We have 22 locations across the world with success stories that include PayPal, Dropbox, SoundHound, and Lending.
