If you are a current undergraduate student or recent graduate passionate about international trade and commercial diplomacy, applying to our internship program can provide an immersive in-house experience with specific training in the areas of international trade, identifying relevant start-ups, and understanding the current investor climate. Interns selected would work part-time at the Economic Mission’s downtown San Francisco office.
Interns will receive individualized projects that they will be expected to spearhead under the supervision and guidance of a trade and business development director. Interns will work closely with their supervising business development director — attending and participating meetings, collaborating on projects, receiving feedback and support, uploading and updating social media content, and generally learning about the dimensions of international trade in a government context.
When the opportunity exists, we will work with an intern’s university to facilitate earning academic credits.
