Israel grabs 4 spots in Global Cleantech’s annual 100 best list

The Israel Economic Mission, along with it’s partners the Israel Export Institute and Israel NewTech, hosted a 14-company delegation to the Cleantech Forum in San Francisco over the last 3 days (January 23 – 25th). Throughout the conference, over 200 B2B meetings took place between the clean energy start-ups and the major corporations and venture capital firms present. In addition, an evening reception was co-hosted with the Keiretsu Forum on Wednesday the 25th, which brought together another 50 local stakeholders to meet the delegation on their final leg of the trip.

One of the highlights of the trip was the announcement of the Cleantech Group’s annual Global 100 list, which highlight the companies expected to have the biggest commercial impact in the industry over the next 5-10 years. 4 Israeli companies made the cut, which begin with nearly 10,000 individual companies. BreezOmeter is one of the 4 and was also a part of the Israeli delegation.

The other three are Kaiima, an agriculture company specializing in genetics and breeding; TaKaDu, a SaaS company working closely with water utilities; and Netafim, the global drip-irrigation powerhouse.
