Israel Economic Mission AgriTech Webinar Series, Part 1: Robotics

The Israel Economic Mission to the West Coast has begun a webinar series leading up to AgriTech and AgriVest, Israel’s largest agriculture technology conference, taking place in Tel Aviv May 8-10, 2018.

The first of the series took place on September 5th, 2017, with 3 up-and-coming Israeli companies are working to solve one of the agricultural community’s biggest issues, cost of labor.

DeepLearning Robotics offers a deep-learning RT-ROS controller that connects with industrial robots, expanding their interaction capacity. It enables them to respond to a 3D environment, such as human gestures, which enables an array of tasks.

FFRobitics presents a unique and patented Robotic Fruit Harvester – the FFRobot. The FFRobot is a reliable robust harvesting platform that emulates the hand harvesting process for efficient, cost-effective and bruise-free fruit picking.

MetoMotion is developing a multipurpose robotic system for labor-intensive tasks in greenhouses to reduce the reliance on and high costs of human labor in vegetable production. The company’s first application is a robotic harvester for greenhouse tomatoes.
