How Israeli Desalination Technology Is Helping Solve California’s Devastating Drought

As California is entering it's fourth year of drought, residents and politicans have been forced to consider alternative sources of water. Israeli water technology like delsalination has become much talked about. A $1 billion desalinsation plant built by IDE in Carlsbad, CA is due for completion in 2016. Desalination used to be an economically unviable technology; but with recent breakthroughts in reverse osmosis and the lowed economic and energy cost, California's should consider this a more viable solution to their problems.
