Ericsson to Acquire Israeli Cloud Storage Company for $95M

During IBC, Technology giant Ericsson announced that it is acquiring Israeli cloud storage company Fabrix Systems in order to consolidate its position in network delivery for video applications, media storage, and TV. Fabrix Systems was one of 17 companies participating in the Israeli Pavilion at the conference, and the news of Ericsson’s first acquisition in Israel for a reported $95M brought even more excitement to the already buzzing pavilion.

Fabrix Systems has a cloud based scale out storage and computing platform focused on providing a simple, tightly integrated solution optimized for media storage, processing and delivery applications such as cloud DVR and VOD expansion.
