11 New Israeli-American Projects to Receive $9M in Funding from BIRD Foundation
11 new Israeli-American joint projects are set to receive $9M in funding from the Israel-US Binational Industrial R&D Foundation (BIRD). The cooperative projects span the fields of homeland security, information security, 3D printing, and agro-technology and include both Israeli and American based companies, such as the partnership between San Jose based Gigoptix and Yokne’am based ColorChip. In addition to receiving funding from BIRD, the participating companies have also attracted private sector funding, increasing the total value of the projects to $25 Million. BIRD’s investment in these projects will pave the way for increased product development as a result of collaboration between Israeli and American companies.
